ON THE WAY TO THE GRAVE

They say from the time we are born
That we are beginning to die
Some doctors say no one can change it
They say it's just foolish to try
But one night at an old fashioned altar
I met Him whom death could not deny
And the life that I found there in Jesus that day
Is gonna blow that ole doctors mind

Chorus
On the way to the grave I took time to pray
And there's not a chance I'll stay there
Don't look for me friend in a grave at the end
You'll find me shouting somewhere in the air
There's not much excitement in a grave yard
So I don't even think that I'll come
While they make their way to that dreary ole grave
I'll be celebrating new life with God's Son

Friend don't you struggle with dieing
Or the fear of what death might do
What this ole world says can not be done
Our risen Savior has already proved
When you let go of this world below
And take hold of his nail scarred hand Your not placing a bet on two to one odds
Your not even taking a chance
